The Gladiolus Shawl is a sideways-knit shawl that contains an allover cable and lace pattern. Worked on the bias, the piece begins with 14 stitches and is increased along the top edge to create the shawl shape. Gladiolus is created with 430 yards of fingering-weight yarn. Pattern notes include instructions on how to make the shawl larger. As a result of having these pattern notes, this shawl is easy to knit in other weights of yarn or with additional fingering-weight yarn if desired.
