Description

Pi shawls are circular shawls knitted in sections from the center out that are made from a mathematical formula. Pi shawls are a terrific way to incorporate complex stitches because since the increases only occur once in each section, you are not trying to increase at the same time as you are managing a complex stitch pattern. Begin with a small amount of stitches, followed by one knit round, then for every subsequent section you double the amount of stitches by increasing, and double the amount of rounds in the section. You can also make a half circle pi shawl by switch up the math.
