Purl Ridge Stitch

The Purl Ridge Stitch is a simple stitch pattern that features a ridge of purl stitches on a background of Stockinette stitch. In this video, Jen Lucas demonstrates how to work this stitch pattern.

The stitch pattern can be worked on any number of stitches, as the rows are either all knits or all purls. With a 4-row repeat, the pattern has 3 rows of knit stitches and one row of purl stitches.

PURL RIDGE STITCH

With any number of stitches, work over 4 rows as follows:

• Row 1 (Right Side): Knit all stitches.
• Row 2 (Wrong Side): Purl stitches.
• Row 3: Knit all stitches.
• Row 4: Knit all stitches.

Repeat rows 1 – 4 for pattern.
