Description

Broomstick lace is not just for crocheters! There are several variations of knitted broomstick lace, which combine knit stitches with wrapped/drop stitches. This variation is a three row repeat on a multiple of 5 stitches. The repeat is Row 1: *K1, yo twice. Rep from * across, k1. Row 2: *(Sl the knit st, let the yos drop) 5 times, replace those 5 sts back on left-hand needle, (k, yo, k, yo, k) through those 5 sts as one]. Rep from * across. Row 3: Knit. I would start and finish my scarf with a few rows of garter stitch for a solid edging, bind off knitwise to finish.
